New Foes Appear was born in 2015 as an idea by Jake Saleh. After playing Melee for many moons, it wasn't until after he saw The Smash Brothers documentary that he learned about the competitive landscape that existed for Melee-ists. 

 

After seeing East Coast and West Coast pros simply pass through Chicago on their way to more established competition, Jake believed that Chicago had so much more to offer than just a deep dish stop off midway through the cross country tournament circuit. Thus NFA was born. 

 

NFA teamed up with Chicago's premier Beercade Emporium to bring the finest gaming experience to Midwest Melee Junkies. Part I was just the beginning, NFA hopes to help elevate and nurture the Chicagoland Melee gaming landscape in any way that they can.
